I read "Persepolis" awhile ago and I asked my friend who was from Iran (now in the US).
"So, I read this graphic novel 'Persepolis', how close to reality is it?" I asked
"That is a great book! It's the closest describing what it was like living there for me," he replied.
He had a visceral reaction when I asked about it. So definitely a solid honest read.
