I'm often surprised in old Batman comics how often Batman gets knocked unconscious. You can't really do now because the villain would just shoot Batman in the head (not to mention what we now know about repeated head trauma) instead of putting Batman in an elaborate deathtrap or deciding (as the Joker does) that killing Batman when he's helpless would be "too easy."

You can really see how much of an influence Adams was on Bolland. I bet that story would have looked even better in B&W.
